Luxor East Bank is where most visitors start as part of their Nile Cruise.
Here you will find Luxor and Karnak Temples, and now the two are linked for the first time in thousands of years by The Sphinx Way, a ceremonial road from one to the other. If you want to walk the 2.7km you are going to need extra time, which is why I always suggest that visitors leave an extra couple of days in Luxor before or after their cruise especially if they want to visit Dendera and Abydos! There is not much public transport in Luxor so at some stage you will need to make the transfer from you cruise ship or hotel, and if your hotel is on the West bank then I can arrange your arrange your transfer boat across the river for you.
Karnak Temple will be familiar to fans of Agatha Christie as it has featured on the big and small screens in dramatisations of her book ‘’Death On The Nile’’
Nearby you can visit the Luxor Museum and also The Mummification Museum, both located on the corniche just north of Luxor Temple.
I can arrange one or two day basic tours around Luxor giving you the best Luxor Experience.
I can also arrange your transfers across the Nile and also Sunset felucca cruises!
